Now, a Wentzville company that sells those warranties is being sued by the Missouri Attorney General for what he calls deceptive claims and misleading practices. The company, Dealer Services of Wentzville, is also known as National Auto Warranty. Assistant Attorney General Rex Burlison says, “The problem that we’ve found with the extended warranty companies that we’ve filed litigation, is that they don’t market their product honestly. They say claims, like Eddie Givens’, aren’t being covered, money-back guarantees aren’t being upheld and these companies are using high-pressure, misleading sales techniques.
